Ms Spectrum Pageant
A about a week ago I was asked to photograph one of my clients daughters at the Ms Specturm Pageant. I shot for around an hour. The amazing part is how old these girls looked. It was hard to believe they were high school girls. All of them looked amazing and they were decked out in some fantastic gowns.

A New Direction
Tim Skipper Photography is going in a different direction.
Most photography studios (mine included) divide their time between portraits and weddings. And though I have enjoyed photographing weddings, it has always been portrait photography that has been my passion.
Beginning this September I will no longer be advertising or promoting myself as a wedding photographer. My focus will be sharpened on being an exclusive portrait photographer both for private and commercial use. I have always enjoyed the personal time you get to spend with clients when shooting portraits and the opportunities to really dedicate time with creating that truly unique piece of art.
With this change will be some differences in how I book and operate my portrait studio. The first will be a short consultation with each client. This is so I can learn something about you so that your portrait session will be tailored made just for you. Also my portrait collection will now offer the prints with custom matting and framing. The standard frame will be a black frame with white matt, but clients will be able to choose from a wide selection. For the client with really specialized taste I will be collaborating with a local frame shop so that your portraits are a true and complete work of art.
You will still be able to order unframed prints, but the advantages of receiving your prints matted and framed far out way any small amount of money saved. Also I am bringing albums more into my portrait photography. These albums which have traditionally been used for weddings will make a great way for you to display several pictures in a lifetime keepsake.
For my commercial and corporate clients I will continue to offer direct downloading of images to your printer or other source as well as affordable usage license for your images. As before with both commercial and private portraits can be done on location or in a studio setting. I have taken great care to be certain that the studio equipment is portable allowing me the freedom to turn almost any location into a studio.
I am also looking into expanding the canvas wrap prints that will give your portrait that true look and feel of artwork. I have lowered the price of canvas wraps making them more affordable to everyone while refusing to accept a lower quality of image.
I have been asked if this means that I will no longer accept wedding engagements, the answer to this is both yes and no. I have broken my weddings down into two packages based on desire and budget. I will also require a short consultation with prospective brides and grooms. This interview process will allow us to be certain we will enjoy working together on your ceremony. I will only photograph a limited number of weddings each year so that I can keep my focus on my portrait photography.
I am looking forward to this change and hope you will take the opportunity to come in for your own special portrait experience.

Get A Free Portrait Session
How would you like to get a free portrait session and save the sitting fee?
Well you can and it's free. No tricks, no gimmicks (sort of). This is the way this is going to work. Call at 334.797.1389 or email me at timskipper@timskipperphotography.com and tell me you want to book your free portrait session. When you come to the session you will not need money but you will need the name, address, phone number, and email of three people who you think would also like to get a free portrait setting.
Ok, so it's not totally free (well what is anyway, right?) but you will save money and that's always a good thing. As a new photography studio I need help building relationships with people and there is no better way to build relationships than with referrals. Just bring three names, address, phone number and email. I promise two things:
1.) Though I will contact your referral, I promise not to pester or harass them. They will get one phone call and an message inviting them to come for their free session in exchange for three referrals.
2.) I will not sale, share, or expose your friends and family info to spam, junk mail, or annoying phone calls. Nor will they are you be exposed to high pressure sales.
My goal is to meet and get to know as many people as I can. And hopefully we will get to take some fun and exciting pictures along the way.
Don't know three people? Well then I am also offering a 30% off sitting fees and 10% off prints on sessions booked between July 31 and September 1.
So go ahead, grab three names and give me a call.

I've Been Framed
I've been framed!
Well at least my pictures have. I am very happy to tell you that you can now order your prints already framed either through me or online.
I am very happy about this because it makes it that much easier for you to get your pictures the way you want them. Plus when you are viewing online you can get a preview of what your picture will look like in the frame you've chosen.
Just add a picture to your shopping cart, then in the shopping cart look to the right and below the picture thumbnail. There will be a link for framing and mounting. Click the link and they select your frame and it will show you your picture in that frame with or without matting.
Now that's just too cool.
